When a Barn House is blended by Contemporary Luxury Design
If a barn house can be so luxurious, then it is definitely one designed by SHED Architects. The designer blends the countryside traditional style with total luxury in so much warm atmosphere. The rustic yet classy farmhouse is having excellent modern touch without even leaving a single value of the traditional barn house style. From the outside, the house looks like a cozy clean well-managed barn house and when we are inside, we definitely don’t want to leave the house.
The character of barn house is still perfectly maintained. Of course, it is not an easy thing to combine a countryside house with modern touch, but the barn house is the example of success. The original structure can be seen from the design of the house, doors and the usage of wood for the floors and walls. The traditional touch is also emphasized with the exposed beam ceiling.
Some contemporary touches can be felt in the family room like from the rounded lights and industrial staircase. The kitchen looks more traditional with the ceiling and high domination of wooden material. The same thing goes for the bathroom. Completed with barn door and unique wooden vanity, the bathroom looks very traditional yet luxurious. Surrounded by trees and plants, the bran house feels so cozy and homey.
