However, the interior designers do not design the staircases to be used by people. The staircases in Puma Tokyo House are designed as one of decorative elements inside the place. By positioning staircase here, there and yonder and transforming usual function of staircases, the interior designers are trying to remind us that exercise is something that should be done regularly. Like using staircase, there are some steps that should be taken in order to be healthy. Consuming healthy and low fat foods and having regular exercise are some efforts that are usually done by people to live healthier life. This concept of hard work is similar to concept of struggle in sport. Similar to sport, it is almost impossible to reach goal to be healthy without patience and determination.

The use of staircases inside Puma Tokyo House is an effort to remind all customers that Puma is one of the well known sport shoes company. Sport shoes’ company like Puma is, of course, closely related to the concept of sport itself. By designing this place in a modern way, the designers have successfully described strong and important relationship between the brand and sport. The concept of staircases also gives bigger opportunity for customers to have closer view towards each product. As for the basic element of this place, interior designers use wooden floor design. Similar substance is also used as material to build decorative staircases. Large grey columns are placed in every nook and cranny to support this room. Decorative staircases are also encircling around the grey column. Interior designers do not applied many colors on this room. To emphasize the uniqueness of decorative staircases, the designers only used neutral colors in this room. Black, khaki, white and brown are primary colors that are applied in this room.

To give mysterious impression, the designers also position sufficient lightings in strategic places. Not to be forgotten, brand logo is put in the strategic place to clarify about the owner’s real identity. It is done, just in case people who come here are too occupied with all the sport shoes and sneakers collection and forget about the producer.
