Redesigned Oaklands residence is a big project done by Nico Van Der Meulen Architect team which actually is an old residence built in the Cape Town, South Africa. Basically, this 1950’s residence has large space with flat roof that represent the classic and old fashioned look. The architect team has planned and redesigned the whole interior and exterior part of this residence especially on the parent building. This parent building was redesigned to add more living space and change the design concept to represent the modern, luxurious, natural, and urban style at the same time.

The Exterior Design of the Redesigned Oaklands Residence

The new look of redesigned Oaklands residence or also known as Moss Oaklands residence have beautiful exterior yard landscape in the outdoor swimming pool area. The modern sense are clearly seen on the off white and little black line accent applied on the external side of this luxurious residence. The whole arrangement of this modern residence looks like rectangular cube building arranged closer with different size to each other.

Glossy porcelain tiles as exterior floor ideas on this redesigned Oaklands residence looks elegant near the rectangular blue outdoor swimming pool. There is kind of black wood plank floor deck installed on the upper position next to the swimming pool. In this deck, there is a white unique lounge set located to accommodate the relaxation activity. Two floor recessed lightings are installed on each of sweeping steps on the external stair give elegant lighting effect at night.

The Interior Design of the Redesigned Oaklands Residence

The redesign team tries to apply modern look in the redesigned Oaklands residence by adding some track and sliding glass door, big glass windows, and glass wall. The entire residence interior wall color is painted in white color with various styles of indoor lighting ideas to give beautiful light effect at night. All furniture in this old residence replaced with more modern and stylish new furniture.

Such warm accent to represent the urban interior design of this residence found on the wood floor ideas and wooden furniture applied in some rooms in this residence. With various rugs and carpets style, the warm accent increased in this modern redesigned residence. The new redesigned ideas allow additional rooms built in the original building to increase the modern accent in this redesigned Oaklands residence included a large entertainment area and four glamorous bedrooms.
