Modern Square Barcode House in Munich, Germany | Barcode Villa by MVRDV

Exterior and interior design is having no limitation nowadays. One of the architects that show that there is no limitation on exterior and interior creation is MVRDV. This Dutch designing company has always created the controversial and creative design and this time, they managed to make Barcode Vila that is located in a suburb area in Munich, Germany. The design is inspired by a little warehouse that cannot be without modernity. The villa façade is separated into nine vertical strips with different material, finish and width from wood paneling to the modern aluminum.
The division of the interior is differentiated based on the function of the room such as glass strip is made for kitchen area and living room is filled with steel panels. The design is getting so many criticisms due to the blending of various elements and styles from the Gaudi to modern style. However, we cannot deny that the house is very comfortable to live in. The exterior is so unique with the square concept that combines several colors and unique square-shaped windows.
The most unique part might be the garage. MVRDV made the garage looks like a sofa cushion with its white and dots accent. The overall design of the house is modern with clean solid line. Red, white, black, brown from wooden panels and silver from the metal dominate the rooms.
